The Timeraiser
The Timeraiser program is a comprehensive volunteer engagement process that encompasses an event. The process begins long before the Timeraiser takes place and tracks community impact for 12 months following.
The Timeraiser event itself is part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town.
The silent art auction portion of the evening has a twist: instead of bidding money, participants bid volunteer time to charitable organizations that need their skills and energy. Once the volunteer successfully completes his/her pledge over the next 12 months, they bring the artwork home as a reminder of their goodwill. See the Timeraiser in action to understand how everything comes together to build stronger communities.
Community Impact
Taking the total financial and social community impact into account, the program’s return on investment is estimated to approach 220%, generating nearly $2.20 in ‘social good’ for each dollar invested in programming.

Non Profit and Charitable Organizations (NVOs) – Framework helps NVOs analyze their Volunteer needs, develop impactful position descriptions, and learn how to speak to the 20s-30s demographic. We make their information easily accessible to prospective volunteers and provide tools to track and manage their volunteer workforce. For many NVOs, their involvement with the Timeraiser allows them to do the majority of their volunteer recruitment in one evening. Total cost to NVOs: $0.
Volunteers/Participants - The Timeraiser makes it easy for prospective Volunteers to pre-screen the participating organizations to see what their needs are, connect with NVOs at the event and then track their volunteer hours using the online portal Framework provides. Each Volunteer comes with the intent of pledging a minimum of 20 hours. A portion of the Volunteers will decide to bid additional volunteer hours on the pieces of art available during the silent auction. Once the hours are completed over the next 12 months, they receive their art.
Artists – Artists are invited to submit their works, with pricing, for consideration and a committee selects the art to be included each year. Once a piece has been selected, the Artist is paid fair market value for their work. With works ranging from $400 to $900 each, this is a great benefit for the Artist as they are usually asked to donate their work to charitable organizations.
Community-Minded Corporations – Sponsoring corporations are able to access Framework’s resources to provide ‘Lunch and Learn’ style programs for their employees, educating them on the non-profit sector as well as promoting the benefits of getting involved in an NVO to build personal and professional skill sets. Their sponsorship is used to procure art at fair market value which is then turned into volunteer hours at the Timeraiser.
